Singapore's GLC Recycle started its black mass processing plant on August 1, 2023.
It is Southeast Asia's largest processing plant for recycled battery raw materials and is located in Vientiane, Laos.
The facility can produce 24,000 tonnes per year of recycled nickel and cobalt hydroxide, as well as 4,500 tonnes per year of crude, recycled, lithium carbonate.
The recycling facility will use black mass as raw materials.
GLC Recycle plans to increase capacity up to 80,000 tonnes per year over the next five years.
